what steel wheels for a Seat Ibiza

Featured Replies

Anyone know the numbers for steel wheels for an 08 (current model) Ibiza?

SWMBO took her new car out yesterday in a dusting of snow. Phoned me in abject terror about 15min later.

In fairness to the car she'll never drive to the conditions. See a woman sitting at the bottom of a hill with her wheels spinning in 1st, that'll be my wife.

I had a look at teh car when I got back. The wheels are 215/40/17, nice sledges for the snow on a lightweight 1.4.

She's panicking and not listening when I talk about winter tyres and wants a 4x4 (NOW!).

Anyone know the offsets etc for the Ibiza? Hopefully it'll be the same as the Fabia.

I'll try to pick up some narrow steel wheels. Even on cheap summer rubber they should be better than the current boots.

Assuming she doesn't have big brakes, I believe the 15" steelies off a MkIV Golf will go straight on...

Yeah same as MK1 and MK2 Fabia, 9N Polo, MK4 Golf, MK1 Leon etc etc, all 5x100.

Mk1 Octy too

Cheers.

should be plenty about then

'Should be' being the term.......

I looked everywhere for a resonable set of 16" steels, ended up going for 15" off an octy :giggle:

Yup - hence the observation about big brakes... :S

It's only a 1.4 so hopefully small disks.

I'm going to check the spare and I try to get whatever that is 15" or 16".

15" spare, even my Boca had a 15" spare standard.

Yeah they will fit fine.
