found that vag-com takes a bit of getting used to and had to follow online guides but everything seems to work well.

not yet convinced about cornering foglights, not set them up yet...

I have a 2008 Scout too.

My dealer activated my second rear fog but was unable to do the cornering fogs :'(

apparently 2008 is the cross-over year for the CANBUS - earlier ones can't do it, later ones can, no idea if its even possible on mine.

However there are threads on here where the dealer says that the 2nd rear fog can't be activated so take some of their advice with a pinch of salt

Hi , can you tell me what Byte and Bite was used for the second rear foglight activation.

Mine was registered in August and is on an 08 plate, but I guess there is a good chance it was sat in a field for 12 months first.

If you do decide to try the cornering fogs I would be very grateful if you could let me know which boxes need ticking so that next time mine is in for a service I can get them to give it another go...

Alberg, if I remember correctly your car is a facelift.

It is apparantly much easier to activate the second rear fog light on pre facelift Octavia's including mine and lard-ajc's.

There are a few threads on those who have attempted but failed on the FL. Not sure if anyone has actually achieved it yet!
