Hi and a Merry Christmas to you all

Joined forum a couple of days ago but only just got round to posting. I am looking a buying a Skoda diesel in the new year upto £6000 max and was wondering what people would recommend.

I am looking at comfort, economy hence diesel, cheap to run (ie reasonable tax band) and insure.

I can decide personally between a mark 2 Octavia or a Superb. I know Superb's are only saloons ( I can't afford a mark 2 one of these), but they do have large boots so just want to seek your views from people who own them

Thanks

Welcome to Briskoda.

Both are worthy Skoda's to own if it was me I would go for a octy.

Thanks

It probably will end up being an Octy, just need to see what's out there at a reasonable price/ mileage ratio.

Plenty of high mileage cars out there at lowist prices, but always let you know if full service history with it or vital parts like cluch, flywheel or cam belt have been done (if full service history not mentioned), so not sure whether to look for something with low mileage or a higher mileage with full service history that has been run in a bit.

Welcome and Merry Christmas.
