Octavia Window problem

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have been using the site for a little while to get information.

I have found lots of help just by reading, and it’s a great benefit being able to research our Skoda’s, with like minded owners.

On my Octavia, i did have the common rear washer problem. After long story, and too may attempts by garage to fix it, I did it myself after reading this site. So its been a great asset.

I do however need help, the passenger electric window works fine, from the passenger door own switch it just will not go up from the driver’s master control.

How do i get the switch unit off of the driver’s door. I understand there may be a problem with the switch contact, but cannot find any information, on how to get the switches off.

Any help would be gratefully received

I thought i would add and update, in case someone else need to resolve this issue.

I stripped out the swich housing, and using a couple of terminal screwdrivers, managed to prise off the bottom of the switch housing.

I then proceeded to clean the contacts with switch cleaner, reassembled all the base, and re-installed the unit.

All now works fine, and all the auto functions are in operation.
