I got a 53 fabia vrs diesel and she sometimes idles too high as in at 1100rpm, its intermitent though. Any ideas before I get ripped off going on a diagnostics machine.

Del - I've had a similar problem with my 07 VRS SE. If you "blip" the throttle mine drops back down to normal. Not too technical I know but works for me!

I had this also, turned out to be a faulty throttle pedal assembly, it was replaced under warranty 18 months ago.

Could it be an auto-choke of some sort? Mine drops back down if I give it a blip also

I seem to remember reading something about a sticky throttle pedal, and if you hook your shoe under it to pull the pedal back up, it corrects it..?
