Hi there,

I've been searching for ages on some info for removing the inner door panel, (drivers side front) on an Octavia estate 1.9 TDI 2001.

Thus far I have managed to get get most of it off (it does not come off in one piece). The outer plastic part has come off along with the speaker, however in the very middle the handle with all the window switches remains, and it seems like it has some screws behind it, but I'm unsure how to access them

I'm thinking maybe that you have to flick the switch control panel up and out? But just wanted some confirmation before I started yanking on it.

I'm removing the door panel so that i can fit a new window regulator as it is currently broken, so if there is a specific guide for that, that I've missed, sorry, but would very like it to be pointed out. Thanks in advance,

The bottom part of the grab handle (the bit you pull the door closed with) comes apart from the rest of the handle, under the handle you will find two large screws, undo them and the rest of the panel will come off.

The trim should not be in two parts however, the fabric part (the bit still attached) is hot welded to the outer part of the trim. This can however be glued back together with some very strong glue. (I have used Bostic to do this exact job before with good results)
