Yeah pretty sure it can.

Yes but needs a separate power supply (comes with it). New xboxes can power it directly.

Want one but lounge too small :(

You need at least 6-8 feet in front of the tv and at least 3 feet either side, for 2 players you need more space

it works perfectly fine with an older xbox 360, my brother is using his with my old 360 Arcade and has no problem.

Biggest issue is space, you need a lot of it for it to work effectively. My brother ended up rearranging the furniture in the living room, just so he can use it. Even now he does not have enough space for 2 concurrent players.

Everything i've read, says its best if its above the TV, as that shortens the amount of space required.

Yes it does work on and older XBOX, there is one of the first xbox's it does not work with. It is amazing it blows the Wii completely out of the water.
