which vrs discs and pads to buy on budget?

Featured Replies

The time is near to buy new front and rear discs and pads for my mk1 vrs. Have a budget of about £250 which gives me a few options. Don't want any drilled or grooved, just a standard look.

Looking at the following brands..Pagid, Bosch, Febi, Eicher and Ebc.

Does anyone have any feedback/recommend any of these brands and which ones to avoid? Or any other options i may have missed.

Many thanks. Rich.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

I replaced my discs and pads all round about a couple of months ago, I went for mine from GSF car parts, I just told them I just wanted OEM parts. They are made by a company called V-TECH, they work absolutely fine and they were something like £144 inc vat.

Another budget option is the Mintex brake boxes on ebay.

Or get some OEM discs from a motor factor and get some uprated pads like Pagids. It depends what you are looking for.
