Wind Noise

Featured Replies

Hi can anyone shed any light on this issue please :-

When driving there is an annoying wind noise coming from the rear passenger door , from the drivers seat I can hear it plain as day but from the passenger seat my wife can't which you can imagine causes a few heated words " I CAN'T HEAR IT " well I can :( :( :(

Also from the rear passenger seat you can hear it , there is no draft as such from the rear vent , I thought it could be the door seal maybe it had been off in the past and not put back snuggly .

I am at my whits end trying to think what it could be ?

Also whilst I have got your attention when I bought my car it was 4 years old , Ive noticed driving in the dark that I seem to be dazzling cars in front I have dipped my headlights with the switch , I haven't touched the bulbs in any way now I'm concerned when the M.O.T comes round it could possibly fail , but saying that it past the one last year that skoda had done on it ? :S

Wind noise from the rear door is a common problem on the Octavia. There are a few threads on possible fixes.

In my experience very few MOT stations actually check for correct headlight alignment, just that they turn on and off.

If other drivers are flashing you this should tell you something is wrong. Remember it is your responsibility to have them realigned to avoid dazzling other drivers.
