Front electric window retrofit kit

I am just wondering how much work is involved in fitting the retrofit electric windows kit in terms of removing the bit the manual winder handle attaches to and fitting the motor itself. I am guessing the door carriers would have to come off (making it a bit more hassle than it's probably worth)? Having fitted the central locking retrofit kit I'm aware of how to route the wires etc.
