Will they be making a Fabia 2 VRS Diesel?

I like the advert and we considered buying one but a petrol just isnt for me

Rumours for next year but I can't see it to be honest...

Or is that this year?? Can't remember it was posted recently...

I doubt there will be a vRS diesel until Skoda switch to the new platform. Apparently there is not enough room in the engine bay for the new 2.0 CR diesels. VW and Seat are both using the updated platform which has more engine space and is slightly lighter. Skoda are still using the Mk1 platform.

IF they have plans to do it, then it will be around 2013.

I hope a new Diesel will come out as I love my VRS mk1 - all that lovely Power and Torque - and good MPG on a long run to - dont they realise that this is what made the VRS great

I would love to see a Diesel unit as well.

When the Fabia Sport comes out, hopefully it will have the full range of engines. Get the 1.6 TDI and have it remapped. You would then have sport suspension and seats along with boosted diesel power. Sounds good Anyone know what the 1.6 TDI's remap to?
