warning lights

Featured Replies

hi,

I have a 53 plate fabia VRs, which until now has ran without any problems, just usual running repairs. During the very cold weather I had to replace the battery, from the original one, 3 weeks since I did that, when starting the engine the engine the battery light doesnt come on at all!!?? and today whilst out the ESP and ABS lights remained on for longer than they usually do when i start up, the windscreen wipers also seem to be running slower than they used to!!??

HELP!?

cheers

Have you had the alternator checked?

Have you had the alternator checked?

not exactly but guy who fixes my car, checked the battery was getting a charge from it with all the lights etc on and it seemed to be fine...

It sounds like the blue sensing wire from the alternator has broken. They usually break in the connection on the front of the gearbox.

got my car back, wiring from the starter was broken/damaged...

Could be a duff new battery, or a low output charge from the alternator.??
