Ordered my monster (140 Elegance, 4x4 Steel Grey, with sunroof)) in early May (week 18), picking it up next Monday, so that's er,...about 35 weeks. I generally subscribe to the maxim that it is "better to travel hopedfully than arrive", but here's hoping that this will be an exception to the rule...Still a bit annoyed that I didn't realise until too late that a heated windscreen wasn't part of the package, especially with a car of this spec. Being a bit ignorant on these things, and having appreciated one on my mundano for the past 7 years , I assumed that was a fairly standard bit of kit these days. Not to worry though, I'm recently retired, so by the time I'm up & ready to go out in the mornings, it'll mostly have defrosted itself!

I've been a bit of a voyeur on this site up to now, and so many thanks to everyone for the massive amount of useful info that I've gleaned, whilst killing waiting time, particularly all the threads on winter tyres. No doubt I'll soon have some questions, after all the waiting is over...

Quite impressed by the annual insurance quote from Skoda btw, - 25% cheaper than my current insurers for comparable cover, incl. protected NCB.

welcome george, tis indeed a long wait...but worth it in the end, u will love it, as for heated screen, i miss that luxury too, after having ford's for the last 6 yrs it was a godsend, this winter has been particuarly cold -18 here..and mine didnt thaw till late afternoon lol...
