Called in at my dealer this morning, who has confirmed build week 3 (on today's update from Skoda) and delivery mid/late Feb (but I will probably delay collection to 1 March - owner of dealership was around and is happy with that). Apparently as week 3 is so close this is now DEFINITE! My delight helped me not to complain that the salesman who had promised to call me as soon as he knew anything had been sitting on this build date for a couple of weeks.

Yes, I too expected to hear from W Fisher this week. On the RRP matter, there was a surreal moment with the owner of my dealership yesterday: I mentioned the issue to him, who said there was no case for a refund re the protective door foils, since 'they've always been standard on all Yetis except for one batch on which they were forgotten' - what kind of idiots do these people take us for??

Great news must have got one of VW's last 2.0TDI engines in stock

Just had an e-mail from James warning me mine might be delayed, possibly by some time By the sounds of it they have run out of 2.0TDI diesel engines Been offered a 1.8TSI instead (by Skoda); nice but to expensive to own and run so I'm prepared to wait; might even get a 61 or 12 plate

I hope you don't have to wait that long either. I hope my date is correct, given your news - but how can they be so short of these engines?

I have just had a call from the dealer and am in a similar position to TP and I have been told that the Yeti Elegance 2.0 TDI 4x4 ordered in early December will probably not be delivered until the second half of the year. Again he said that if I was willing to consider petrol then it would be about 12 weeks or so. Garage have agreed to hold trade in price agreed, so I will just wait.
