hy, pretty simple actually

My spedometer has a small red square marking @ 50 km\h (not mi\h) i have seen a lot of car´s spedometer marking @ 55 mi\h (90km\h) as best crusing speed (best FE), is this the best cruising speed mark? cus i have been able to hit same FE at diferent (higher) speeds

Isn't it just to show the common speed limit built up areas?

yeah 30 mph is 48kph so they put it at 50 just to show the common speed limit in built up areas.
