Black Trim

Featured Replies

Anyone know where I can get hold of a new set of black trim? (Front, side and rear bump strips).

I'm thinking of painting a set and replacing the worn out set I have on now. Tried eBay and some Skoda websites, but couldn't find anything :(

You should still be able to get this from Skoda main dealers.

I need a rear one that fits in rear bumper where previous owners dog has marked it, but waiting till i get bumpers painted to do it

AFAIK the vRS trims are the same as any other 2001> Octavia. I used my old Elegance bumper trim in my vRS front bumper. A new one was about £40 IIRC from the stealers, so would expect the rear to be similiar money.

If they're 'worn out' trim gel or tyre gel on them brings them back to new and looks 1000% better. I was never a fan of colour coding them ;-)

I restored my faded trims with Gtechniq C4 trim treatment, now look brand new again

I was gonna do something like that, but I've got 3 tins of matte black spray paint to use up

seen this stuff and heard good things

Yes it's a great product, expensive but worth it as it's been on the trim for months now through all the snow and still looks as good as when I first applied it, water beading is insane

Thatll crack probably and look a mess if not done properly on plastic.

I just got a new pair of trims, I think they were about £32 each but I got them done on a 3rd party insurance claim. They certainly make the car look better.
