i was wondering if this can be turned on for the fabia by vag-com? thats when i unlock the car the lights come on?

Did a search for 'coming home' lights, but the only thread I could find had the guide removed

iirc a guy did it but it kept popping resistors and he took it off cos it was causing more trouble than it's worth

I had it set up on my Fabia with a simple relay. Whenever the interior light came on, as triggered by the locking the front fogs came on (was going to do it like the Mercs with fogs and side, but found the side lights made the warning buzzers come on, but it was too late by then!). Could easily rig it into the main beam though. It's not ideal, as it's not on a timer - but if you have remote locking then just wait till you're at the place/door etc.

Never used any resistors in mine - just a relay and had no issues.

To answer some of the main questions in the thread that were never answered - no the buzzer doesn't come on (unless you use the side lights), and you can use the interior lights without external lights coming on.
