Multi-function display

Featured Replies

I've had my fabia for a couple of days now and have noticed that the multi-function display does not light up when the headlights are turned on. In fact, I couldn't see it at all this morning on my way to work in the dark! Is this right or is there a trip to the dealer in the offing?

It should light up, see the dealer.

It should light up as soon as you open the driver's door. After that no more light is available. This is how my mfd works. I don't know how a Maxi Dot panel is working.

Maxi-dot lights up as soon as you unlock the car.

Thanks for your help guys.

I went down to my dealer who had a look at it and told me there is a fault in the instrument pod - it has an intermittent fault which means sometimes it lights up and sometimes it doesn't.

They don't want to risk a repair so they are going to replace it! 3-4 days for the part and around an hours wait to fit it.

Glad you appear to have it sorted and glad the dealer reacted quickly.

Hope it all turns up on time for you and gets done quickly.
