I accelerated to pull round a van on Saturday afternoon and felt a massive loss of power (which I assume was the car going into limping-home mode); the glowplug light then started to flash and the exhaust system light came on solidly. How bad is it likely to be? I haven't driven it since so don't know whether it will start or not.

Damn thing needs a new cambelt too, and the final payment on the fiannce plan is due next month. It's all adding up...
