Wierd electrical problem

Featured Replies

Hey guys :)

Got this weird problem... The interior light cluster doesn't work except when the car is locked then it lights up as it should when the car is unlocked! also the red lights at the bottom of the front doors have stopped working... any ideas what the problem could be? a fuse possibly? :S

Thanks.

Anyone? :(

Probably the micro switch in the drivers door lock is faulty. Do the interior lights work off the other doors?

Also, do you still get the lights on buzzer if you open the drivers door with the lights on and key out of the ignition?

I have this same problem, how easy is it to get the switch sorted??

Thanks

Easiest, but most expensive way is a new door lock as the switch is built in and not available separately from Skoda. However, I believe that it is possible to replace the micro switch yourself if you are any good with a soldering iron. I am sure that there are some guides on here somewhere.
