A/C not working

Featured Replies

Hi there folks i need your help . I have a skoda octavia 2 05reg tdi and the air conditioning keeps on blowing the fuses . The the fan stops blowing and the lights on the climate control panel for the temperatures goes off , but the number stays on . And when you plug the software in it comes up with a fault code 18049 saying Please check DTC memory of A/C controller P1641-000 . Does anyone know what this means and what is the DTC memory is . Cheers dave

DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Code = Fault Code.

Its telling you that you need to Scan the HVAC / Air Con Controller to get the fault code from that specific module rather than the generic fault code from the ECU.

What scan tool are you using, if you are using VCDS can you post a full autoscan on the forum as it should contain the HVAC fault code also.

Cheers
