Fabia S2000 at Rallye Monte Carlo

Featured Replies

Rallye Monte Carlo starts tomorrow morning and runs through to Friday evening. It's the 100th edition of the rally and 110th year for Skoda Motorsport.

The Skoda works team have 4 cars entered (Hanninen, Kopecky, Vouilloz, Loix) and Skoda UK have entered a car for Andreas Mikelssen. There are also 5 more private Fabia S2000s including former F1 driver Alex Caffi.

Also entered are former World Rally Champion Petter Solberg (Peugeot), F1 and LeMans driver Stephane Sarrazin (Peugeot), and loads of other decent WRC drivers (Gardemeister, Atkinson, PG Andersson, Henning Solberg) and all the top IRC guys.

What is more is that the whole rally will be televised live, so if you have Eurosport tune in from tomorrow morning at 9am!

Sky Plus Series link does not seem to work so needed to record each one. Shame Wilkes has gone to Peugeot but having a Scandanavian in the UK team has got to be good as it is in their blood.

Going to set this to record (hopefully, If I can work out the damn recorder. Lack of Sky+ sucks!)

Wilks is a good driver but I think Mikkelsen is a better one, even if he isn't British. Unfortunately there are no other good British drivers with enough experience to run at the front of IRC. Having said that Mikkelsen crashed out on the first stage of Monte on Wednesday :o

Final night of the event tonight live on Eurosport from 5:45pm - up the Col de Turini and down again, in the dark, twice. Should be good
