Hi guys n girls...

I'm after freeing up a little power from my octavia vRS and im thinking of going for a de-cat, and a full exhaust system, probably a jetex, also a remap (allready for a piper panel filter)

And i was just wondering how loud the jetex NON resonated system would be with a decat? Will it be stupidly loud? The 1.8T engine note seems quite tame.

Also roughly power would i see from a decat, panel filter, uprated diverter d/v, shark performance remap and exhaust?. 220ish?

You'll see enough to make you smile dude trust me. It's not all about figures IMO it's about how the car drives. I've got a milltek non res system with a de cat downpipe and it's not overly loud (like some of the 1.1 saxo boys in town ) no experience of the Jetex tho I'm afraid so can't pass comments on that.

Ps I'm back at the weekend if your about and want to see how my car behaves?

With a none resonated system and decat the sound will not be that much different to a resonated to be honest, just slightly deeper. The 1.8 t engine is quite a quiet sounding engine through exhaust systems and you will not expect any loud intrusive noise from that set up.

I think Jetex is like a piper sound if i can remember which is slightly louder than a miltek system but as stated not loud by any means

not like the scooby my neighbour revs for five minutes at 4am every morning... now thats a loud engine!
