I was wondering if you guys would be interested in doing a show with Skoda car only All models? I can arrange it at Cannon Hall in southyorkshire I would have to see how much interest and have someone local to help me set it up..My wife is a manager there so we could get the venue for nothing there is a cafe and farm for the kids and a big feild to set up Display!! Could we get a list of who would be interested and also a Idea of when you would like to do it..Cannot be Aug...as there is another show there...Thanks please list Name,car and weather you would like to help out cheers Matt

Bump can't beleive no one wants to show there car???????

It's not that no-one wants to show their car - its the logistics and rewards. To make a decent day out, you will need sufficient exhibitors to attract visitors, trade stands, catering, entertainment for the kids (and adults), First Aid, public liability, the list goes on.

For me to drive that distance, I would want something for my lad to do. I don't propose to drive that far to park in a field and stand by my car all day. I like to get amongst it, and look at all the different cars, mods, designs etc. With limiting it to Skoda only, my opinion is that you are massively limiting the potential of the show. Now if you were to open it up to VAG, get a decent number of forums involved, traders, displays etc ( kind of like Billing for Vauxhalls) then you would have more interest. You will end up paying out - St johns, security, public liability etc etc, but could potentially do it on a very low ticket price (if not free entry) if you can get decent entertainment, catering etc to pay pitch fees to cover costs.

Ultimately - you can do this, but not single-handedly, and it will require alot of effort and time on your part.

If you look on cannon hall farm web site you will find there is loads of entertainment for kids and food on site.....that is why I was aranging it there

We could make up our own brisky stand. Went to it last year and there were all sorts there.

this will be at the classic show at cannon hall we are gunna have a stand there...

I think it's a good idea and a good venue.

I host a meet every year at Bolton Abbey for a Citroen club and the last 2 years we have had over 100 cars attend from as far as East Anglia, South Wales and Scotland

If you get the word out in enough time and make it an attractive proposal it could be a good turn out.
