Firstly, my apologies for not introducing myself when I joined tonight. It seems that there are some problems with the site, according to the site moderators.

For what it`s worth though, I`m driving an Octavia 2.0 auto hatchback, 02 reg., petrol. Been doing my own repairs on cars etc. ( as far as is possible within reason) since the days of the HA Bedford, 101 Victor, etc. But I`m still learning.

However, does anyone out there have a part number for the cotton reel shaped rubber thingy (2 off) moulded onto a threaded section, that holds the charcoal canister securely to the bodywork on this particular vehicle. This is located adjacent to the washer bottle. I had to move it aside as one of the tubes to the rear windscreen had come adrift. The dealer I went to was extremely helpful, but couldn`t find this particular bit on the screen, so, perhaps other owners might point me in the right direction. Thanks,

theres some grommets on the picture do they fit to the bottom of the cannister?
