Electric Shaver Advice

Featured Replies

Can you recommend a good rechargeable wet/dry shaver ?

I have a Philishave with 3 rotary heads, it's utter rubbish and can't cope with stubble growing in different directions.

I look like I have shaved with a fork and 40 grit emery cloth, desperate Dan shadow appearing 1 hour later.

Razors are not an opton for me 1st thing in the morning !

I got a Braun 380 as well whilst they where on at better than 1/2 price, Amazon is still showing them at £70

Yeh mine was bought from boots at half price

My Braun cuts FA more than 1mm growth. I'm actually looking at returning to phillips, but one of the 3D Arcitec ones.

I have had Philips, Braun and Panasonic. The Panasonic with the 3 blade system (30 degree cut middle blade for longer hairs) and 13,000 cpm motor is what I currently use. It is an obsolete model now, but they do a newer equivalent. It shaves much closer than any other electric one I have used and can cut a weekends worth of growth without snagging or pulling. Works wet or dry, so far, foil has lasted 18 months and still working well.

Thanks for the info.

I've decided to try a Braun 390 from Amazon, good price.

No doubt I will end up with a face looking like a smacked arse.

A touch late on this one, but I've got a Braun 300 series. Does everything well except for about a dozen hairs that need the beard trimmer every few days, but are under my collar line. Even when new, it didn't give me razor burn, which rotary heads always do.

I went to Currys to have a look and all the display razors had the heads stolen, just the vibrating/rotating spindle showing.

Maybe it was a heath & safety thing !

Have you seen how much new heads are?

My Braun ones cost me £35.

I've had the Braun 390 for a few days and I'm quite impressed.

Much easier to use than my old Philishave rotary head. and doesn't give me a neck rash.

Should last me a few years.

Thanks for the tips.
