Featured Replies

in short, no (afaik) you can however fit a reduction Gasket, which is a cheap and cheerful (but effective) fix.

Where do you order one from ? And someone told me u can just map it out :S

If you blank the EGR off completely, do you need to code anything???

I have fitted a Reducer Gasket to my PD170 Leon and it solved a stuttering problem i had

The Next stage is either a "Road Egr Delete" or "Race" EGR Delete, Race one removes everything Road one leaves some of the Mechanics behind.

Both of the will beed Mapping after due to putting a Warning light on the Dashboard

Heres The Gasket

So whats needed:

1x Part Number:028131547B (£2 From Dave @ SERE Motors)

1x T50 Torx Bit

Below is the original Gasket (Top) and New Gasket (Bottom)

And this is where the old one came from and the new one is going

Basically all as you do is remove your engine cover and undo the two T50 Bolts off the metal pipe! Pull the pipe away from the EGR, Mine was stuck so i used a biggish screwdriver to do it,My old gasket was also stuck on so i also used a smaller screwdriver to pull that off the pipe and remove it.

Slide the new gasket in and fasten it all back up

Takes literally 5 minutes :D

Its not coding thats needed, you need to get a remap that maps out the EGR, without it your CEL will come on as it sees a fault with the EGR.

Without Mapping the most you can do is fit the Reducer Gasket the whole in the middle is just big enought not to bring on the CEL
