Shark Bite

Featured Replies

Well after a 3 hour trip to Mansfield Elsie (yes another one) now has the muscles and teeth to go with the looks, After a not too scary time at Shark performance I now have a totaly diffent car ....it will accelerate in fifth, fantastic on the motorway and it goes and goes right up to the red line in each gear, it doesn't seem to have affected the mpg either, or maybe it's better as I am using the power more just for the hell of it :giggle:.

Today I will try it out on roads that I know and then I can get some idea of how much better it is and post back on here later, sort of looking forwards to going out today

Well done Octygone. Ben is Brilliant at what he does.

I would agree on performance. So much better.

What sort of power and torque does Ben think it's now making?

Time to check it out at the south east RR day next Sunday. :giggle:

How much has the map increased your insurance by?

I would also be interested in how the remap goes octy. If you don't me asking, how much was it?

My Yeti's develeped a slight 'jangly' kinda noise under hard acceleration, so a I think (when I've got the time) a visit to Skoda dealer is in order. I'm just hoping something has worked itself loose as the car is performing normaly.

Ben reckoned it was somewhere between 160 and 170 bhp...but not too sure on the torque as he kept lower to protect the clutch, did notice I had wheelspin in first and second gear today though.

I had it rolling roaded a little while ago at JKM and standard it was 121 bhp so I will try going back there at some point

I think in a full year it will have gone up by about £50...low premiums ...is the one advantage of being an old f..rt

So far it's fantastic....power whenever I want, safer overtaking, easier to get out of slip roads on to busy motorways and still smooth and easy drive round town :) ...I managed to get in on Bens Christmas offers (thanks Ben) so I think it came out at just over £300....excellent value for money, but I'm not sure what the full price is, but an e-mail to Ben would soon sort that out.

Noise could be the exhaust touching on something but a Skoda dealer should soon have it sorted

Glad you managed to get it done, after our chat at JKM it seemed not as straight forward due to the security on the ecu.

Ben has found a way round it

I wish James would chip in re warranty issues, if any. i would love to have this, but I am low risk profile re warranty and support (ie wimp). Or did you look into warranty side first?

Thanks for the info octygone. I would be interested to know the readout of your Yeti if you ever put it on a rolling road again :)
