engine wont start after cooling

Featured Replies

Hi all

Recently had a problem starting my fabia 1.4 after the engine has cooled

Usually starts OK from cold or from warm but leave it an hour and the engine is flooded.

Removing the fuse for the fuel pump and turning the engine over starts the car.

I let the engine cut out before reinserting the fuse and the engine starts.

Recently had a full service and lamda sensor as an engine management light code

was reporting a fault.

I'd hoped this might have fixed the problem but unfortunately not.

Any suggestions would be a huge help.

Many thanks

Tim

Sounds like a problem within the fuel pump, Any chance you could try a new pump on it? Is it a 1.4 petrol?

Hi thanks for the response.

Not sure I could try that without buying one. Are they expensive?

I found a post about a Felicia which mentioned potential choke problems

Could that cause it to flood?
