I have been considering changing the bulbs on my Superb for higher performance bulbs from Powerbulbs.com. Mine isn't Xenon

I've read elsewhere that changing the bulbs are something only the dealer can do. Is that correct?

Recently fitted Osram silverstars (H4) to my Octy. Big improvement over standard bulbs on dipped beam, main beam slightly better. Powerbulbs.com are excellent, placed order 11.30pm on a tuesday, bulbs arrived thursday morning.

Fitting them is easy, just refer to your manual, no need to go to the dealers for non- xenon headlights.

Likewise on my Octy too , and they also supply a set of Laser Blue side light bulbs free with each order , took me 5 mins one side and half hour the other ( droped the old bulb down in side took me 25 mins to fish it out )

If the Superb under-bonnet experience is anything like the Passat with which it shares a lot of it's parts and layout, you'll most likely only be able to do the dipped beams. Which will, if you;ve got a plate of sausages for hands, take about an hour.

It's awkward beyond belief.

You have to dismantle part of the air intake snorkel to get to the drivers side one, which is very very tight.

Mainbeams and sidelights, have some obstructions inside the access hole to the bulbs themselves........
