Sport seats Onyx vs Leather interior and seats

Featured Replies

People, can you give me your opinion what would you choose in this case? Now there is an option of sport seats but only with onyx interior, and trim, is it any good? Is it worth enough to take this option and not Lynx leather? Personal exp. with onyx interior?

If the Sport Seats in Yeti are anything like and as good as those from the Octavia vRS or Fabia Sport then they are pretty good. Ok; not quite up to the standard of Recaros but way cheaper.

If you are inclined to get Sport Seats I would jump at the opportunity but you would have to sacrifice Leather seats and all the other items that come with Elegance trim, particularly Xenon headlights.

Personally, much I would dearly love Sport Seats, and I'd be prepared to sacrifice Leather; Xenons is one thing that I wouldn't. Also having got the Fabia sport seats in my wife's Roomster and having driven an Octavia vRS for 3+ years I'm not missing sport seats in my Yeti too much; I have though bought a CG-Lock that is doing a good job, so far, of keeping me steady in the seat.

All food for thought.

I does 'exactly what it says on the tin'. See here;- http://www.cg-lock.co.uk/

I only bought mine about 4 months ago, but wish I had sooner i.e. when I first heard about it a couple of years ago!

A couple of guys on here use it; worth its weight in gold.

So how does that work with pyrotechnic seat belts? As I imagine most cars now have belts that retract with a gas canister or something a few inches in an accident? Other than that I must say it looks pretty clever. Are they expensive?

I'm sure I read somewhere in the blurb that there is no adverse effect on the designed operation of the seat belt or any seat belt tensioning (pyrotechnic?) devise that is standard.

Price is about £40 - I bought mine from DT;- http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Product.do?method=view&n=1756&g=0&p=17266&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Base&utm_campaign=Motorsport

A beauty of the operation is that you can just nip up the tension for normal motoring or give the belt a good tug when you want it tighter. You can also take the gripper bar off in a split second to use the belt in OE inertia reel mode if ever you want to.
