I have a 2006 (56) Octy II 1.9TDI and am considering maxidot retrofit.

Obviously a new dash unit isnt cheap so had a look on the bay of e..

would this do the job if i could get a dealer to fit/code it?

That says its from a 2002 model. The first one said 2008.

Thing is they both look the same but neither look like my 2006 model. By which i mean the actual clock styles.

I didnt check the code (or read the listing fully) but from the picture that doesnt look like a maxidot display to me :no:

Aaah ok.

I saw that it had a big black bit in the middle as opposed to my half and half one and assumed it was. Good job i asked!!

The picture isnt that clear but based on that price and what I can see in the picture and the style of clocks IMO it isnt a maxidot unit.

mail the seller and ask. That should give you a good indication if not a definite answer.

I've just trawled through the forums and had a look at a link to a genuine new maxidot pod, and i think you're right.

There are differences.

And despite what the ads say, both of those look like older clocks to me. I'll keep looking around...

Dont forget you need to get it coded too. Its not just a simple case of a plug and play fitting.

Both of those clusters are for the Mk 1 Octavia (the Mk 2 does not have the LCD panels at the bottom of the dials).

Having had a Maxidot retrofitted by Ben at Shark just about 12 months ago, I can thoroughly recommend him to do the job for you.
