50,000 Yetis sold in year one

Featured Replies

Great news Johann. I imagine the 1.8 TSI will be the big seller in Qatar, seeing petrols so cheap out there.

Some parents at my daughters school, came over and spoke to me as I was parking up (never spoke to them before). They mentioned after seeing my Yeti doing the school run, they test drove the 170 TDI, and were so impressed put in an order a few months back, and are expecting delivery of a white 110 TDI 2WD Elegance in March!

Got asked a lot of questions while we were waiting for the kids to come out and they had a good look around the car, which has a very dirty boot (dogs!) The bloke said his job involves installing radio masts in rural locations and so needs the ground clearance, and they both generally like the 'quirky' look of the Yeti.

There does seem to be quite a few Yeti's in my neck of the woods. :smirk:

Just on chassis number allocations Kvasiny is possibly in line to build around 52647 Monsters in MY11 alone. Then there's production at Kaluga Rusko, Cazachstan and Aurangabad India.

OK.

So how many on the roads in the UK?

Mike, I read somewhere that there were only 4300 sold in the uk as of November 2010. I personally have only seen 2 on the road in the Glasgow area, and I've been looking out for them since November. All adds to the air of exclusivity!

Just read another thread where new member having ordered his new YETI on 12/01/2011, has to wait until September 2011 for delivery.
