I recently took delivery of a new VRS that we ordered way back in July.

Spoke to Skoda UK week before taking delivery of the car and they advised that compensation would be discussed once I'd taken delivery of the car.

When I picked the car up the dealer advised that I'd need to speak with Skoda UK regarding the compensation.

Think I was being fobbed off a bit at the time but just glad to eventually get the car!

Can anyone who has been in a similar situation of waiting for their car share their experience?

Ordered mine 18th May, 2010.

Collect it tomorrow! (29th January, 2011 - fingers, toes, etc. well and truly crossed...)

Total of 36 weeks and 3 days since placing the order with dealer; knock a week or two (max) off that to when the factory received the order.

I told my SUK 'Case Manager' I was going to take the £300 "goodwill gesture" in the form of retailer supplied accessories. SUK CM told me to arrange that with my dealer; who simply knocked £300 off the final total for the >£300 of retailer supplied accessories I ordered prior to collecting the car.

Simples...

Mine took just shy of 6 months to arrive, and as a "good will gesture" I received an M&S gift card for £150.

Mine was delayed so I then delayed it another month to get it on the latest reg plate.
