IS IT ME OR IS THERE A RATTLE UNDER THE BONNET?

Hi just a small gripe here,when going through the gears not aggresively but gentle like,I am getting a bit off a rattle not much but I am a bit of a perfectionist well a pain in the arse reallyemoticon-0136-giggle.gif,anyone else had this problem?

There has been talk on here about the fabia vibrating when not in quite the right gear,it could be this.

Some said it would appear as they moved through the revs and changing gear - just a quirk of their car.

Some guys employed in VW dealers services here say that the 1.6 TDIs have floating flywheel problems of epidemic proportions, I hope this is not your problem. And do you have some information about this in UK?

Would this have any other signs she flies along nicely but has a bit of a rattle,should be quiter than the superb2 1.9tdi not sure it is though:smirk:

Estate man already raised this in a recent thread and traced his rattle to the Air inducion pipe. If it is this in your case, the simple fix was to tape one of the mating parts of the pipe joint to make it a tight fit.. May be worth a look?
