Hello,

I have been looking at getting more air in to my engine yet want to keep the OE engine cover/air box. I have looked into the carbonio route and they are very expensive at getting more air into the engine bay. I have had an after market filter but couldn't stick with the noise. I am planning on taking the OE scoop off and just fitting air ducting from the engine cover to the OE location. This would allow 100% of the air in (rather than the OE deflecting most into the engine bay) and get the same benefits as a carbonio scoop at a fraction of the cost.

Matt

Some have put a piece of plastic in the o.e scoop bottom to block off the hole into the engine bay. My personal opinion is leave it as it is, the engine will grab what it needs from the intake and divert the rest into the engine bay.
