Parking Sensor/Climatronic integration into HU/Fuel flap

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just a quick question which i'm sure someone can quickly confirm.

Am i right in saying the parking sensors on the FL fabia integrate into the head unit (both Swing and Sat Nav) to give you the Optical Parking System? Can the sensor bleeps also be turned down using the volume control?

In the same way does the Cimatronic also tie in to display temperature and fan speed changes on both head units like they do in other VAG cars and the Octy/Superb etc.

On a different note why does the fuel flap not lock on the Fabia, is one of the only things I dont like about the car. If you break a fuel cap, can Skoda provide a new one to match your existing ignition key or do you have to have a second key like you did in the dark ages?!

Hi pipsyp, yes its integrated into the sat nav the satnav shows the back end of the car , as you approach an object its starts beeping and then bars come along the back of the picture closer you get more lines appear and peeping gets more audible, dont think you can turn it down at all even if the head unit is off the satnav comes on automatically when reverse gear is activated, not sure about the head unit showing the climate control not noticed it?,as for the fuel flap cap not locking its a shame but I would imaging it would be replaced with one that uses your particular key
