Performance so different - Even SHE noticed

Featured Replies

Right, Ive had the tuning box in the Octy for about 1 month now. The car has gone in for a service today, so as its still under warranty i did the honest thing, I removed the tuning box and Green filter, and didn't tell them a thing.

Thing is, i took it out last saturday, so its been running standard for about a week now. The difference in performance is so great that even my other half commented on it. We were on our usual trip to work the other morning. I was stuck in traffic, which then cleared. I put the boot down in 2nd from about 1,500rpm, which is when the comment came "God, there really is no lift out of this car".

Now, its ok for me to think, yeah, the tuning box does make a difference, but for her to come out with a comment like that, when she is used to driving a 97 1.0 polo, that scares me.

Roll on 5pm, when i get my Octy back (and resurect my tuning box and air filter)

Oh, and just to rub salt in the wounds, they give me a 1.4 fabia classic estate as a courtisy car. It even feels quicker than my octy

Rant over

My tuning box has facility for a remote on/off switch.

I'm going to fit a switch after the next sevice so I can show people just what a massive difference it makes.

Do you have to feed a wire through to the dashboard then??

Two wires. :)

My Dragon tuning box has a loop wire which you cut, the two ends you couple to two wires which you route through the car to a switch mounted where you want.

I'll probably mount it out of site under the dashbord.
