Fabia 2 vRS

Featured Replies

I liked it! a bit plain inside compaired to the fiat, and a lack of equipment ect (Blue & me standard on the fiat ect) but a nice drive, little body roll considering it looks so high, adaquate grip and traction, lovely engine, what a great noise when you are revving it at full pelt! caught the gearbox out several times in auto, but when pressing on down a country road, sport mode sorts that out.. well built, and the looks are growing on me....

question is do I order one?! the VAT offer is very tempting, but they have only offered me £2500 for my car (glasses trade price with the miles declared is £3400) they say its because its a driving school car, they did offer to put a dual brake in the vRS though, thats worth an extra £500.......

hhhhmmmmm what to do, what to do.....

Do it!! But wouldn't you need a manual for driving school?

Go on Dave you know you want to.

Since driving one last week I have been very tempted to swap the Octy, but I just don't do the mileage, Now swmbo as got a C1 to rack up the miles in (and save the fuel bills) the Octy will only be used for holidays and when it is raining (me to work) The MX-5 only did 12,000 miles in 2 years and 8000 of those where covered in 3 weeks driving on the continent.........

Dave

The wife has just got one

Its seriously good!!!

..and the bluetooth option works really well too

drove my mates this weekend and was seriously impressed.

i thought you could only get them with dsg though ???

or are you teaching automatic only

yes, it would be auto only, I work full time as an EMT, but because I do 12 hour shifts, I get 3-4 days off a week, and if I spent one full day doing aout tuition, it could pay for the car (and it doesnt hammer the clutch/gearbox ect like teaching in a manual) plus there is only one auto instructor on the west coast as far as I know, so could be good for a bit of pocket money.... sssooooo tempted with the VAT offer, and my local dealer has a green one on order, for delivery end march, with 3 weeks left before its started to choose opsions! (I like the dark crome alloys) .....

decision, decisions....

Stop thinking about it Dave

Do it..You wont regret it!!!

lol... I am sort of talking myself into it.... I'm at 105,000 miles, and been offered £2500 (+£500 of duals free) , and I'm thinking, what will my car be worth in another 3 years time with 140,000 miles on it?! £800?! maybe the £2500 isn't so bad, especially as I don't owe anything on it......

Have you tried WBAC for a value on your car....

yeah, they offered me £2500 as well....

Ah right so in reality you aren't going to get anymore at auction unless you tried to sell privately....which is hassle and you are getting £500 of dual controls for free.....well a brake pedal lol!
