Locking problem

Featured Replies

I have a slight problem when locking the car with my remote. The car opens and locks fine but once locked if you press to lock it again (just to make sure its locked) the passenger front door opens or unlocks!! Any ideas I've locked and opened the car manualy just incase it was out of sinc. The car is an 02 octavia rs.

Id take the car into the dealer, i reckon the courtesy system has got itself confused. The best one i've seen is when you try to put down the drivers electric window the passenger window goes down. It was funny for a little while.

We also had an octavia that would just lock by itself (inc. dead locks) even when you were going along. Not good if you were trying to get out. That ended up being a faulty convienience unit. Whatever it is it should be sorted under the warranty because it isn't normal.

Hope that gives you some ideas
