currently taking out a blown engine on a 05 fabia vrs i just bought , just wondered if the driveshafts need to come out for the engine to be removed. According to some they just need to be unbolted from gearbox end and slide out or something, only thing left to remove the shafts and im done any help would help thanks

Some car engines can be an absolute swine!

Pretty easy own the Fabia, whole front end comes off and it just slides out.

, compared to the 306 Dturbo i had its dead easy, bolts straight in and runs

Like he says the whole front of the car comes off and engine just slides out, drive shaft dont need to come out they just pull of the gearbox and hang down, Theres loads of room behind engine to get at turbo so you can take of exhaust. All sensors just unplug.

All intercooler pipes are quick release so nice and easy , rest of pipes come of easy anough with pipe grips. Once engine was out all bits transfered over easily anough also.

also if any one needs any specific photos of anything on the engine i took 100's of photos before i took out engine just in case i forgot where pipes etc etc went have so many photos so just give us a PM if any one needs any photos of anything!
