When you said 'white', you meant 'green', right?

I always find white a pain because it's not a proper colour. Just playing with GIMP, the best I can manage is this nasty ivory colour rather too reminiscent of a Rover 400...

Why are there never any adjustment layers when you want them?

Still not what I'd call perfect but at least I've remembered how to use layer blend modes correctly, and figured out how to use GIMP the way I would use Photoshop for this sort of thing. I still wish it had adjustment layers, though...
