this is wher ei got my info from

TURBOCHARGER

I knew a big turbo conversion was not going to be possible for me - why? Mainly because there is only one place in the whole of the UK that does big turbos for the 1.8T - Jabbasport, and they are 300 miles away from me so that was out immediately. The only other option available was moving up from the factory K03S turbo to a K04 turbo. The K04-001 turbo is a straight bolt on replacement for the K03S and usually offers around 250BHP and 270lbft of torque - for around

there is a speacial k04-001 turbo for use on auq engines..

the std one from a TT/Leon/Passat doesnt fit.

The manifold and down pipe are different for the K04 on the 210/225 engines.

so what needs done to put a k04 on in place of the k03?

without spending a fortune?

Fit a K04 that has been made to fit the AUQ engine.

Try here...

and then remap it.

uprate the clutch

uprate the gearbox

uprate the suspension.

you WILL need to.
