Hi Looking For Octy

I am being pressured to get an Octy by the family; but being a Subaru Legacy GTB owner for 15 years will need some convincing. Obviously I will need to have a test drive and savour the delights of DSG, VRS, diesel versus petrol, and all the other options a salesman might try on me.

WANTS, NEEDS, DESIRES

Must be an estate to take disabled scooter, must be auto for wife and manual for me, (currently have a Subaru Outback and a GTB), do less than 10k miles per year, ...other than that want a car that is a joy to drive

So thought you might like to try to convince me......

Do I buy new or used? Value for money rather than capital cost!

If so which model, what year what mileage? Octy or Superp, Elegance, L+K, VRS, Scout!

What options? DSG...

I already had a lot of help to fix broken gear selector - thanks! I also found that the passenger side front suspension spring has broken - so I'm off to the garage for that! However, electrical issues ongoing. Here's the story: skoda octavia mk3 2013 tdi estate Car sat for 8 months. AGM battery flat and won't recharge New AGM battery Not recoded as yet. What it says on the tin, really; recently my oil warning light came on, flashed a few times, made a really loud intermittent beeping sound, and then turned off again. This happened several times during a journey, but actually stopped after a little while. I checked the oil level, and its fine, so I reckon it's an issue with the oil pressure sensor/switch (I did get an OBD tool, but that came up as no error codes, so I'm really in the dark here). Hi guys I'm new here. I have a Skoda Fabia mk2 2011 tsi. I've noticed the clip on the left were the shelf parcel clips is broken but not completely snapped off. So I used some super glue; not sure if this would work and how long it would last. How can I replace this please? It seems to be part of a panel. Thank you all

Hey guys! I just bought a Fabia mk1 from 2005. It has the usual problem with the driver's side key just spinning around in the barrel. However as I took the key barrel out I realized that it's not the notoriously bad early design, but a revised one. I found very little info on that one, except that it was used I think from 2004-2013 in Skodas and possibly other VW cars too. Front assist on my 2020 dsg sel superb works sometimes. I've cleaned the sensor area and the top of the windscreen as I believe there is a camera that the front assist uses. Means auto cruise control won't work. Any ideas?
