i am getting increasingly irritataed by the wing mirrors which in the rain get water on them which wont move having not been pulled off by whatever speed you are doing

is this something else that other people have noticed or is it the wrong sort of rain!

Can't say it's been a problem I've noticed, but all my cars have had some sort of rain on the mirror glasses at times. It's going to happen. It depends which way the wind is blowing when you park it up I guess. It soon runs off when I get started. If it's very fine rain droplets on the glass (these don't run off) I give the mirror lenses a quick wipe with my leather so I can use the mirrors properly as opposed to waiting for it to clear as I drive. If you wait, you'll wait for ever pretty much.

I usually pop the heated mirrors on for a few minutes and the problem is sorted in a jiffy!

Edit: Only problem with this though is it leaves water spots.

Is quite normal. Heated mirrors can sometimes cause issues, particularly when they dry dirty rainwater/condensation onto the glass. Mine are always filthy!
