They'd be a bit of a stretch but I'd imagine they'd go on the rims ok.

Be worth talking to your local fitter though.

They would be fine, no stretch to worry about to be fair a 205 is pretty wide for the standard rim. I'm running 195/45 on my TT rims on my Fabia.

Would it make a difference if I put them on the front or rear when matched with a pair of 205 45's?

Probably not much difference, don't think the difference will be enough to upset the abs.
