Featured Replies

Hi

Hope someone can help. Octavia hatchback; spare wheel-well full of screen washer fluid; need to remove lining/trim from inside boot lid to access pipe supplying rear washer/wiper. Only one screw found (near rubber boot closer-pull. Don't want to apply force until sure why this lining will not move. Can anyone advise please. Chris Smee

Probably it has come apart by the CD changer. There is a union there, taped to the electrical loom.

A bit of a fiddle, but easy to do. It popped on my Mk1 Octavia and recently on my Mk2.

Remove the felt trim, it should be held on with a couple of plastic poppers. Don't wory about distorting the felt, it will soon pop back into shape when you put it back.

It will probably happen again if the jet becomes blocked or frozen!

Hope this helps.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Thanks for the welcome messages and special thanks to merckenzie for the info on accessing the feed tube to the rear washer inside the boot. Have now put everything back together with no bits left over and have earned some brownie points with 'er indoors!
