help with dampers required

Featured Replies

Oryt guys, another bit of help needed with some more modding.

I am picking up these http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/191299-koni-dampers-for-fabia-mk1-6y/ on wednesday, the guy who is selling said he doesnt know if all the parts to fit are there....

He has been very honest and said that everything im buying is in the pictures.. Now i'm no mechanic, frankly i can't tell my a*se from my elbow somedays

So if someone familiar with these dampers or indeed any other as im guessing there all pretty similar could take a look and tell me what i need i can set about sourcing whatever is missing.

Thanks in advance

Nath

someone :(

They look alright for £60..

You will need to use dust-covers and strut top assemblies off your original units, but other than that they look ok!

Only thing i'd check when you do get them.. Is compress the units, and check for signs of leaks etc.

Also, cast your eye along them to make sure they are straight.

Other than that it looks like you've got a bargain!

thanks a lot for that buddy ive been panicking that i was gonna turn up buy them and then never be able to fit them  i thought so too thats why i snapped them up despite not knowing whether they where missing much lol

I shall arrange a collection now cheers buddy

Probably worthwhile picking up a set of new rear bumps stops too while you are on as they usually disintegrate.
