Induction kit?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Im thinking about getting an induction kit (£70) for my fabia 1.2,

Would the performance increase be noticeable?

Its supposed to save some fuel too? is this a real world statement or fantasy?

Also, Would i be better just going for a K&N box filter (£30) instead of the induction kit?

Cheers,

Zakk

May sound abit more throaty but I doubt its going to give you any significant performance increase. Fuel economy will suffer it it does sound better as you will be tempted to put your foot down more! :giggle:

don't forget you will need to declare this mod to your insurance company and they will hike the premium accordingly. I may be wrong but I don't think there is any need to declare a panel filter.

exhaust and intake modifications of a highly strung performance normally aspirated engine yield very small gains.

However on a turbo car an exhaust or intake can yield very large gains. Ive had K&N/pipercross panel filters and they have done nothing at all.

Is the 1.2 HTP turbo charged?

Think the 1.2 HTP is a three-cylinder 60 or 70 Bhp granny-wagon!

in that case you better off pi$$ing into the wind if you after a power gain. You will no doubt get a throatier engine note though if thats what your after

Couldn't have said it better :giggle:
