Thought it was about time I got around to saying hello. I've been dipping in and out of the forum for ages now looking at hints and tips and general info.

I've got a deep blue 05 Octavia 2.0tdi DSG elegance and love it. Never had any serious problems, been trying to sort the "wind" noise from rear quarter lights for ages. Only ever been on the drivers side, was there originally and could never pin it down, the glass was replaced and it's still there. Really need to get around to trying the fixes on the forum.

I've recently decided to start doing my own servicing, to save a few £££, and will no doubt be looking even deeper into the how to do's of various routine tasks.

Things to do and plans to do include changing all the disks as think 85k is probably enough on the OE ones and upgrading the interior.
